Kelemahan FB: menempatkan semua friends dalam strata yg sama. Flat. Tak peduli itu teman sekolah, kerja, keluarga, atau bahkan ayah ibu.

Bayangkan jika update status kita yg khusus utk teman di FB, disambar ibu/ayah atau teman kerja. Komunikasi bisa kacau.

Dalam kehidupan nyata, teman sekolah tidak kumpul dgn teman kantor, dan bahasa komunikasinya pun beda. Mrk juga tak pernah masuk kamar kita.

Tiap hubungan sosial memiliki bahasa komunikasi masing-masing. Ini yang dicampuradukkan dan di-flat-kan oleh FB selama ini.

Salah 1 upaya komunikasi bisa mirip di dunia nyata, FB membuat fasilitas grup dlm akun pribadi kita, dgn fasilitas lengkap spt akun.

Contoh kasus >> RT @nengratna sejak ibu sama bapak main fesbuk, saya jadi makin pasif.. ;(

contoh lain >> RT @kathysaelan kakak bikin status lirik lagu 1 jam saja, bapak saya gak bisa tidur, nyangka kakak mau cerai sama istri. 

Komunikasi di FB dituntut semakin mirip dgn dunia nyata krn FB itu jejaring sosial. Twitter tdk dituntut spt itu krn jejaring informasi.

Banyak yang bertanya apa bedanya jejaring sosial dengan jejaring informasi. OK. Saya kasih penjelasan sedikit setelah ini

1.  Twitter itu jejaring informasi dgn 2 pola hubungan: following dan followers.

2. Kita menfollow orang bkn krn kedekatan hubungan, tetapi lebih krn apakah informasi 140 karakternya menarik atau tidak.

3. di FB, sebaliknya, kita tdk akan berteman jika tdk kenal sebelumnya. Butuh kedekatan emosional utk menjadi teman di FB.

4. Hubungan di FB itu SETARA. Hanya 1 hubungannya: FRIEND. Ini kebalikan Twitter: kita bisa follow tapi seringkali tdk di-folback.

5. Krn harus kenal, maka teman di FB pun dibatasi 5 ribu. Otak kita tdk sanggung mengingat teman terlalu banyak.

6. Sebaliknya, jumlah following dan followers di Twitter tdk dibatasi, krn kita tdk dituntut utk mengenal yg kita follow dan follower.

Semoga tweet 1-6 tadi menjelaskan beda Twitter sebagai jejaring informasi dan FB sebagai jejaring social.

Maka, minta folback di Twitter itu HARAM. Demikian pula, memaksa jadi friend di FB tanpa kenal, itu juga haram.

Krn saya bukan ulama dan tdk punya otoritas di bidang agama, maka membaca haram saya mesti kontekstual.

Anyway, disini gue bukan lagi mau bahas tentang Dream Theater nya , tapi yang mau gue bahas sekarang adalah "Scenes From A Memory" (dirilis pada tahun 1999). Album Scenes From A Memory adalah album Dream Theater yang selalu bikin gue merinding setiap kali gue dengerin, dan saat ini gue berhasil dibuat merinding lagi karena nyetel album ini. Emang pas kebetulan lagi kangen sama sensasi rockgasm nya. 


Dulu, pertama kali dengerin nih album tuh sewaktu gue masih jadi mahasiswa. Pada awalnya ya udah pasti gue terbuai dengan harmonisasi irama-irama yang dimainkan oleh para personilnya yang memiliki kemampuan musikalitas yang totally awesome.
But after that,  setelah gue telusuri lirik setiap lagu yang ada di album ini, ternyata gue ngerasa ada yang beda. Lagu-lagu yang ada di album ini saling berkaitan dan membentuk sebuah alur cerita.
Disinilah letak keistimewaan dari album ini. Kita bagaikan mendengarkan sebuah cerpen, oh, bukan, ini bahkan lebih dari sekedar cerpen. Album ini adalah sebuah Drama Musikal! 
Sebuah Opera yang dikemas dalam balutan irama Progressive Rock.
Dan cara menikmati album ini memang harus didengerin full satu album secara berurutan supaya dapet feel nya.


Album yang berdurasi 77.06 menit ini mengisahkan tentang Nicholas yang tiba-tiba selalu dibayangi oleh seorang wanita yang tidak dikenalnya. Dan anehnya, seringkali ia merasa déjà vu. Untuk memastikan apa yang dialaminya, Nicholas menemui seorang Hipnoterapi. Kemudian sang Hipnoterapi. memberikan sugesti kepada Nicholas untuk masuk ke dalam alam bawah sadar agar dapat menarik memori yang tersembunyi dari pikirannya.
Itulah Scene Pertama dari album ini.

Hello Victoria…so glad to see you my friend!


Akhirnya, di alam bawah sadarnya Nicholas kembali bertemu dengan wanita itu, namanya Victoria. Nicholas merasakan semuanya begitu familiar. Secara logika, pikirannya mencerna bahwa ini bukan mimpi! Ia tahu ada sesuatu yang ingin diberitahukan gadis muda itu kepadanya. 
Victoria akhirnya memberikan alasan mengapa selama ini ia menghantui kehidupan Nicholas. 
Karena ia ingin mengungkapkan kisah kematiannya.

Sesi terapi saat itu selesai. Kejadian tersebut terasa begitu nyata bagi Nicholas , ia merasa ada ikatan yang kuat yang menghubungkannya dengan Victoria. Entah apa! Pertemuan singkat itu membekas dalam dunia nyatanya. Ia harus mencari tahu apa yang terjadi sebenarnya.

Nicholas kembali melanjutkan terapinya. Masuk semakin jauh dalam alam bawah sadar. Kembali kepada kehidupan Victoria yang ternyata berlatar belakang tahun 1928. 
Nicholas dihadapkan pada sebuah pemberitaan di koran. 
Diberitakan bahwa Victoria dibunuh oleh kekasihnya sendiri, Julian, terkait masalah keterlibatannya dalam obat-obatan. Setelah membunuh Victoria Julian menembak dirinya sendiri, karena tidak bisa hidup tanpa Victoria. Keterangan itu berasal dari seorang saksi mata yang bernama Edward, saudara Julian.

Ikatan emosi Victoria terasa semakin kuat oleh Nicholas. Nicholas tersadar bahwa dirinya adalah Victoria di masa lalu. Reinkarnasi!. Bahkan bukan hanya itu. Ia mempunyai karakter dan jiwa yang sama dengan Victoria. Dirinya adalah Victoria, Victoria adalah dirinya. Hanya saja mereka hidup di ruang dan waktu yang berbeda. Karena itu ia bisa merasakan ada yang tersembunyi di balik kejadian itu.

Perlahan, akhirnya semua terungkap. Ternyata sebelumnya Victoria pernah mempunyai hubungan dengan Edward. Pada saat yang sama Victoria jatuh hati pada Julian (saudara Edward). Terjadilah perselingkuhan yang berujung cinta sejati. Hubungan Victoria dengan Edward semakin renggang. Ia ingin, tapi tidak berani memberitahu Edward karena khawatir Edward akan membunuh adiknya sendiri.

Tanpa ada yang tahu Victoria dan Julian sering bertemu. Dan berhasil tercium oleh Edward. Ia marah. 
Saat itulah kejadian pembunuhan itu Berlangsung. Edward menembak Julian.Victoria menjerit. Kemudian Ia mengacungkan pistolnya ke arah Victoria sambil berkata…”OPEN YOUR EYES VICTORIA!!”, lalu menembaknya. Setelah itu, Edward mengkamuflase peranannya dari seorang pembunuh dengan mengaku menjadi saksi dari peristiwa tersebut.

Nicholas terbangun. Kaledoskop di layar pikirannya lengkap sudah. Semua terjawab. 
Sekarang ia tahu bahwa Edward terlibat dalam pembunuhan tersebut. Saatnya untuk mengungkapkan kebenaran dari peristiwa yang sudah terkubur hampir 70 tahun itu. Terapipun selesai. 
Ia merasa lepas dan bebas karena berhasil mengetahui kenyataan yang sebenarnya, lalu kembali ke rumahnya. Ketika sedang menikmati ketenangannya, tiba-tiba sang Hipnoterapi datang dan mengejutkannya…..”OPEN YOUR EYES NICHOLAS!”. 
Sang Hipnoterapi ternyata reinkarnasi dari Edward!!!

Cerita ini mempunyai alur maju mundur, dengan dua setingan waktu, 1999 dan 1928. Semua disajikan secara apik dan detail. Benar-benar konsep album yang hebat, baik dari segi musik maupun naskah.
Konsep inilah yang bikin gue rockgasm sampe merinding tiap kali gue dengerin album ini.

Uniknya, jika dinikmati per segmen untuk masing-masing lagu bisa mempunyai makna tersendiri yang terpisah dari konsep keseluruhannya.
